Finally!! A manual rack solution for the 1G and 2G DSM that isn't 25+ years old!
This is a custom modified manual steering rack now available for 1G DSM, 2G DSM, as well as the 3000GT/Stealth platform!
This rack allows for the removal of all the power steering lines, pump, reservoir, and all hardware associated with the power steering system on these cars! Lots of weight shed here!
We very carefully turn the stock u-joint down, we then weld 360 degrees around that fitup, as well as two plug welds on the new helix joint. These can be made to fit into a stock subframe, or one of the many tubular front subframe setups that we offer! Delrin bushings and slide stops keep the rack tightly mounted into it's housing, no matter the setup. No stock subframe modification is needed to make this work!
